Everything was modern, but we stayed for 1 night only. A beautiful historic place, we loved its super location. A lovely beach, magnificent view.

Location is picturesque, obliging staff, the room is unique and welcoming. Amazing breakfast with plenty of bacon, eggs, fresh fruit and cheese. Absolutely fabulous view, a roomy balcony, super bed, too. Perfect service throughout the hotel.

Breakfast was EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD, location was lovely, staff was very attentive. They made my stay best. The snack bar in the hotel had lots of savoury brandies and coffee throughout the day. Besides, ampleforth abbey was 4 km away from the venue.

It's good base for visiting some must see attractions in Gilling East. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the superior king suite. Meals here were great and fab. Thanks for a terrific service, recommend.

the food was alright and the location of the hotel was peaceful. apart from that, church of saint oswald was 5 minutes away by driving. the breakfast is more than excellent.
